This Privacy Policy applies to the NovVoice novel reading application (hereinafter referred to as the "App"). It clearly informs global users of the data collection, usage, storage, sharing and protection rules of the App, and strictly complies with Apple App Store privacy specifications, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable personal information protection laws and regulations of relevant countries and regions.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing and using the App, you fully understand and agree to all the terms stipulated in this Policy. If you do not agree to any term of this Policy, please uninstall the App immediately and stop all usage behaviors.
1. Core Usage Instructions
The App is a full-featured novel reading application that does not require registration or login. Users can use all core functions of the App normally without providing any personal identity information, contact information or account information, and there is no mandatory information collection requirement.
2. Scope of Data Collection
Adhering to the principle of minimum necessity, the App does not collect any users' personal private information, including but not limited to name, ID number, phone number, email address, residential address, precise geographic location, address book, album, browsing history, reading preferences, personal identity identifiers and other private data that can identify a specific natural person.
To ensure the normal operation of the App, optimize service experience, adapt to device environments and display compliant third-party advertisements, the App only automatically collects the following non-private general device information. All collected data cannot be associated with or identify any specific individual user:
- Basic device information: device model, unique device identifier (Device ID);
- System environment information: mobile phone system version, system language settings;
- Regional basic information: general region of the user's device after network connection (only country/region level, no precise city or street positioning).
3. Purposes of Data Usage
The non-private device data collected by the App is only used for the following legal and limited service purposes, and will never be used for illegal tracking, profit-making, user information leakage or other improper behaviors:
- Maintain basic App operation: adapt to different devices and system versions, fix compatibility issues, and ensure stable operation of novel browsing, loading and reading functions;
- Optimize user experience: adapt service content according to system language and general region, and optimize product adaptation strategies;
- Display compliant third-party advertisements: realize normal advertisement display and advertisement frequency control based on non-private device information, without targeted advertising based on users' personal privacy;
- Carry out data statistical analysis: support product operation, fault troubleshooting and iterative service optimization through anonymized data statistics.
4. Third-Party Advertising Service Statement
The App accesses compliant third-party advertising services. To maintain free product operation, commercial advertisements from third parties will be displayed in the App. The relevant specifications for third-party advertising services are clarified as follows:
4.1 Third-party advertising service providers can only obtain the non-private device information collected by the App, and have no right to access any users' personal private information;
4.2 All data collection and usage behaviors for advertising comply with Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) privacy rules and local laws and regulations, and no cross-app or cross-web user behavior tracking will be conducted;
4.3 The privacy policies of third-party service providers are independent of the App. Users may refer to the privacy policies of corresponding third-party advertising platforms independently. The App shall not be liable for the independent illegal behaviors of third parties, but will strictly select compliant advertising partners and supervise the compliance of third-party data usage.
5. Literary Work Copyright Statement
The copyrights of all literary novel works in the App are legally authorized through an official Literary Works Cooperation Agreement signed with Hefei Wanku Technology Co., Ltd., with the valid copyright cooperation term ending onMarch 19, 2031.
All novel content launched on the App is legally authorized without infringing or pirated content. The dissemination, display and usage of all literary works are carried out legally within the scope authorized by the cooperation agreement. Without authorization, no unit or individual may reprint, copy or disseminate the copyrighted content in the App without permission.
6. Data Storage and Protection
6.1 Storage Period: The non-private device data collected by the App is only temporarily stored during user service usage for real-time service adaptation and advertisement display, with no long-term retention. After the user uninstalls the App, the locally cached device data will be automatically cleared, and only anonymized, untraceable statistical data will be retained on the cloud.
6.2 Security Protection: We adopt industry-standard technical encryption, access permission control, data desensitization and other security measures to protect non-private device data from illegal leakage, tampering and abuse. All data storage and transmission processes comply with overseas application data security specifications.
6.3 No Data Sales: We solemnly promise that we will never sell, trade or rent any user device data or relevant information to any third party.
7. User Rights
Based on the core feature that the App does not collect any personal private information, users enjoy the following rights:
7.1 Right of Independent Usage: Users may freely use and uninstall the App at any time, and local cached device data will be automatically cleared after uninstallation.
7.2 Right to Refuse Tracking: Users may turn off the App's advertising tracking permission through Apple system settings to refuse the use of device identifiers for advertising attribution and display.
8. Minor Protection
The App is open to users of all age groups without exclusive minor-oriented content. We will not actively collect any personal information from minors, and all collected device data is general non-private information. If minors use the App, it is recommended to use it under the supervision of guardians, who may control and manage the device permissions of minors.
9. Policy Updates and Revisions
We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy in a timely manner according to updates of laws and regulations, adjustments of Apple Store rules and product operation needs. After the policy is updated, it will be notified to users through in-app announcements or App Store detail page publicity. The updated policy shall take effect from the date of publicity. Continued use of the App by users shall be deemed as acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
